Are you paying
too much for PPC Advertising?
If your pay-per-click costs are creeping up, Refresh Marketing can help make Google™ PPC advertising more cost effective.
Certainly almost every Adwords account we examine has costly inefficiencies. Very few are fully optimised to give maximum R.O.I. Many Google™ advertisers are wasting vast sums of money on ineffective Ads, desperate for business in an economic slowdown.
If your Google™ Adwords budget buys fewer visitors than last year, don't just accept it - ask yourself:
Why are PPC costs escalating?
PPC advertising is becoming more popular. More advertisers means more competition and therefore higher PPC costs. If you've noticed more competition recently or higher traffic costs, you need to find ways to better optimise your account. Refresh Marketing can provide a fresh pair of eyes to double check your advertising.
Inefficient PPC account settings.
If running a successful PPC account is as easy as it looks, why is there a Google™ University and qualified professional status? Setting up might be easy, but making the account profitable takes skill and experience.
Complacent PPC account management.
If you pay a percentage to a PPC management company, are you confident they're earning their keep? If PPC unit costs are higher now than they were when you started, maybe someone else could do better?
Are you paying too much for PPC traffic?
How can you reduce PPC costs?
Target more precise audiences.
Ads which target a broad search engine audience typically have more competing Websites. As a result you pay more for individual PPC visitors. Ads which target more precise 'long tail' audiences will have fewer competing Websites, meaning PPC unit costs are lower.
Fine-tuning of Ad settings. Tuning can apply to Ad text, keywords, timings & positioning. A PPC Ad in position 1 for example might generate 20% more clicks than an Ad in position 3, but if each click costs twice the price then why waste the money?
Make your Ads more appealing. Advertising space at the top of the page is NOT automatically awarded to the highest bidder. Instead Google™ determines your position based on the quality score of your individual Ads. If your Ad gets more clicks than your competitor for example, you end up paying less than they do for a more prominent Ad position.

What is Google™ quality score?
The Google™ AdWords system calculates a 'Quality Score' for each of your Ad keywords. It looks at a variety of factors to measure how relevant your keyword is to your Ad text and to a user's search query. Factors considered include:
- Keyword Click-Through-Rate (CTR)
- Relevance of your Ad text
- Historical keyword performance
- Other relevancy factors (which are undisclosed by Google)
In general, a high Quality Score means your PPC ads will be visible higher up the page, regardless of the amount you pay-per-click.
The highest Ad positions are not automatically awarded to the highest bidder !!
Could you pay less for higher Ad positions?
